Stars

When I was a kid, I used to sit in my father's car at night and looking out at the moon. With childlike curiosity, I asked my dad: "Daddy daddy, why is the moon in the sky keep following us wherever we go?"

That time, my dream was to become an astronaut who could travel into the outer space.

Thinking back, it was a silly question I asked and that at my age right now, we do not even bother why is the moon still following us, do we? I wonder why is it that our curiosity fades so fast... Any of you have the answer?

Okay, the moon is not the protagonist for today, it is the stars. The stars, which surround the moon in the night sky; the stars, which are glowing and giving the ray from so many thousands of light years away from the mother earth; the stars, which occupy the whole sky when the night veils in.

Whenever I look up in the night sky, I see the stars, not the moon. I am very fond of the stars because they are actually suns from a place far far away from the mother earth, and that they glow very brightly. The moon, however, is just a huge light reflector staying near the earth.

It is not that I am biased about the moon, I just prefer the stars. Night sky is so comfortable with stars around. Whenever I lay on the grass land enjoying the night sky, I think a lot, think about their glows, we can so comfortably watching it without hurting our eyes even though it is glowing as strong as our sun.

Distance has made the stars a perfect company for me in the night.

Throughout the 22 years I lived, I dreamed a lot, and the dreams I dreamed were so many in varieties.

When I was a kid I dreamed of becoming an astronaut.

When I am older, I dreamed of becoming a doctor, an engineer, a pilot, a businessman and a house husband. (Oh my God! What is with the house husband?!) Okay, that was a joke.

When I watched Hong Kong drama, I dreamed of becoming a fireman, a policeman, an Interpol, a teacher, a soldier and a taxi driver. Okay, again, taxi driver was a joke.

When I watched Hollywood movie, I dreamed of becoming a superstar, a spy, an ultimate explorer or some other infinite cool and fancy jobs.

When I watched American Idol or Taiwanese 'Xing Guang', I dreamed of becoming like one of them, glowing on the stage, attracting the eyes of millions of people from all over the world, like a star, the super star.

And this is the reason I am very fond of the stars.

I wonder why I never dreamed of becoming a president of my country. Perhaps I should start thinking and dreaming about it.

2 more years and I will be graduating from the University. I dream of my future. I want to find a good company in a modern metropolis to work as a professional engineer and get a high pay. I want to travel all around the world before I settle down and build up my own family. I want to have a business of my own at the age of 35. I want to...

So many of the words 'I want to...'. When will us as a human being become satisfactory with all that we have? Greed is bad, and greed is good. Remember, our advanced civilization today is achieved by the greediness of our past ancestors.

When you gaze into the night sky for the stars, sometimes, you will see the shooting stars.

So, friends, keep on dreaming. Life is full of chances and possibilities!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://teckchaw89.blogspot.com/2011/09/star.html' title='Dreams . Not only could we learn new technologies from various countries in the world, we were also exposed to their cultural and people. Different species of homosapiens have different significance both physically and mentally.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P1o6EPWdCcs/TCsDk74MxnI/AAAAAAAAAIc/r_vd0G6-5Ss/s400/denmark+girl.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488484503964665458" />

Expo in Shanghai has its pros and cons. One of the pros is that we can actually witness the drastic development of PRC(people's republic of China) since its open economy in year 1990. As the host of Expo Shanghai 2010, China has proven its power and status in the eyes of the world.

I am not complimenting China, they are just doing good.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 268px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_P1o6EPWdCcs/TCsDK_CkVkI/AAAAAAAAAIU/yrHLFCoKq-w/s400/China+pavilion.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488484058136860226" />

The cons are, shameful to say, but the people especially the old people in China are not civilized at all! Quarrels, smoking, eating, spitting and throwing rubbishes anywhere are just common things. They will not queue for buses or trains. They will not wait until you get down before they get on to it. They are being ignorance towards traffic lights. How sad. When they knock you, they will not apologize, and we do not have to be mad about this, because they do not care.

Well, China has 1.3 billion people. We cannot expect they apologize to each and every person they accidentally step their foot on, can we? That will be too many people to apologize to. Think positively.

Alright, let's stop complaining about them. At least they will not speak foul languages when they quarrel, not like us. They are just shouting out their opinion loudly. Funny.

I have been lucky because I managed to get into a lot of prominent pavilions. China, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, Australia, Austria and several other countries' pavilions. Of course, I went to Malaysia pavilion too.

There is nothing inspiring to see inside Malaysia Pavilion, honestly. Maybe it is because I am a Malaysian and I know it all already. The cultural and the local products.

After 3 days in Shanghai Expo, we went to Hangzhou.

Hangzhou is a nice place, contrasting to the huge Shanghai Metropolis. Hangzhou has a lot of trees and water. It is renowned for its largest fresh water lake, XiHu.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P1o6EPWdCcs/TCsF3PGYcII/AAAAAAAAAI0/Yzi-FdCWPQM/s400/XiHu.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488487017385324674" />

My tourist guide said Hangzhou girls are mostly pretty and tall. However, I found it the other way. Most of them have thick make up, which is obviously not my cup of tea.

Yes, talking about tea, Green Tea, otherwise known as Long Jin Tea in Hangzhou is my favorite tea. Its natural anti-oxidation property make it even better and healthier for our body. I want to buy, but I do not have enough money. Grade A green tea costs renminbi600 per package, totally a huge number for me.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 268px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_P1o6EPWdCcs/TCsD8jSW0TI/AAAAAAAAAIs/-VnL8j74Dpk/s400/green+tea.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488484909680349490" />

People say in order to have a happy vacation, we must go with the right person. It is our mother earth day.

I wonder how many people in this world is aware of this.

We are living in the 21st century. The first world country is continuing to be richer, and the third world country is also developing drastically. Trees were cut in a large scale to be urbanized; rivers and seas were polluted by the industries; the concentration of Carbon Dioxide in the air is in fact, in the rise.

I wonder how many people in this world is aware of this.

People are too obsessed with their current jobs, obsessed by materials, continuing to pursue after virtual fashions, advanced electronic gadgets. In the process of pursuing these materialistic stuffs, a lot of still usable items are being treated as rubbishes. Nike, Adidas, Gucci bags and ETC which are considered obsolete are being thrown away. There are a lot of people in this world living in the conditions without even have a shoe to wear.

I wonder how many people in this world is aware of this.

People eat, and people throw rubbishes. They don't use reusable containers, say a lot more convenient, save time, higher efficiency during working time because just eat and throw. Polystyrene and plastic bags are the main source of our rubbishes content because they are the hardest thing to deteriorate under the earth. Each big city produce at least a tonne of rubbishes a day. The management of rubbishes is so costly and inconvenient. People are just too lazy to separate the reusable items and rubbishes away. They are actually wasting human energy and natural resource energy.

I wonder how many people in this world is aware of this.

28th March every year, the men-in-power all over the world are encouraging people to switch off lights for 1 hour, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. I wonder how many people in this world is aware of its uselessness. Times goes on, homo-sapience are evolving from a diurnal species into nocturnal species. They don't sleep at night. They sleep in the morning. For them night time is the best time to study, to work, to do exercise because night time will give them most spirit and energy. However, in fact, the whole night they switch on the light, how many energy are they wasting throughout 1 year? 1 decade? I century? 1 generation? 28th March every year is just another soundly but action less activity. Continuing to support it is just nonsense. In fact, we should always practise good sleeping habit, sleep at night, and wake up in the morning and do anything. Sun is the source of energy for all the living things on the mother earth. Please don't waste this sole and most important energy we have.

I wonder how many people in this world is aware of this, and listen to my advice.

Earthquakes, floods and tsunami are everywhere, everyday in the news. Earthquake in Haidi caused 200,000 dead and destructed almost 100% of the city; Sichuan and Qinghai in China are not better. Tsunami in Achech a few years back was a gruesome memory for a lot of people. These are a few famous natural disasters in my memory.

I think everyone in this world is aware of this.

What is the sign of it? The end of the world? Or just that I have think too much? I have been pessimistic. I hope so.

According to the prophet from don't-know-where, Prime Minister for our beloved country Malaysia is named after RAHMAN, namely : Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Abdul Razak, Tun Hussien Onn, Tun Dr Mahathir, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and finally Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who is currently on the throne. What is next? Malaysia will become a republic country? Or the fact is that after Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, 2012 is approaching, the end of the world is approaching?

Wouldn't a greener planet and a clearer sky a better place to live in? Pandora is the most ideal planet I ever knew. Even though it is virtual, inside a movie.

This movie-trailer shows how our lovely mother earth evolved from the virgin beauty into an awful one in the hand of humanity.

Please don't be too pessimistic. This is just written to awaken the sleeping one. Please become an environmentalist. Save our world, protect our mother earth and make it a better place to live in.

Pasir Gudang Trip

My course mates and I went to Pasir Gudang Power Plant on the 25th of March 2010 for industrial visit.

The machines and all other mechanical works in the power plant totally astounded me! For me, last time when I was a mechanic, I dealt with car's engines, the largest one - the lorry's engine was not larger than the size of a standard table we were using in our house. The engine in the power plant - the heat engine I was looking at was having the size of a huge bungalow, or even more massive than that. To be more precise, it was about the height of a 5 stories building. So now you could imagine how huge it was.

There are three main heat engine in the power plant - the steam engine, the gas turbine heat engine and the combined cycle block. The only active heat engine is the combined cycle block. The other 2 are put under standby mode, for the emergency use whenever there are not sufficient energy to be provided to the consumers.

The main fuel for the power plant is natural gas and oil. The fuel provides thermal heat for the heat engine, and the place where heat is generated is called the high temperature reservoir or, the source. Heat is transferred from the source to the turbine through the working fluid, which is either gas or steam in high energy state. The turbine then will produce power output and produce electricity for the consumers.

The sink, also called the lower temperature reservoir has the function to 'get rid off' the wasted thermal heat which is less useful to be recycled again. The sink for the power plant in Pasir Gudang is the sea water because of 2 reasons: the power plant is just beside the sea and sea water has a very high specific heat capacity. When the thermal heat is transferred to the sea via the heat exchanger, it will not affect the temperature of the sea in a large scale. Normally the output of the sea water will be controlled to be below 40degreeC. Anything higher than 40degreeC will harm the sea ecosystem and it is prohibited by laws.

The cycle continues on and on when the working fluid is being pumped back from the sink to the source to receive thermal heat again to produce power output. The flow goes on steadily.

We were a little bit unlucky that day because it was raining, and we did not have enough time to visit all the 3 main heat engines. We were only able to see steam engine and its control office that afternoon. The steam engine was so large. The turbine was insulated by cement wall to prevent heat loss. The piping in the engine was so complicated but ironically everything seemed so systematic.

The visit to the power plant has given me a brighter mindset about my future career as a mechanical engineer, especially when I wore the white safety cap inside the power plant. The white cap symbolizes the status of a person as an engineer, raising my spirit and giving me motivation.

End of First Year

Second semester ends today, I come to Singapore to have a break, to heal myself after a long and tiring war against tests, assignments and projects. And now the war is halted for a week, and then I will start fighting the hardest one, the Finals.

I played Wii, it was so real, and it was so intriguing. From now on I do not have to go to the sport center to play bowling anymore. Wii has given me the real feeling of playing bowling, even though I am actually holding a stick instead of a bowling ball.

I wonder how does the future games look like.

The end of first year comes with the thought that I will be in 2nd year not long later in the future and I will have juniors already. I just celebrated my 21st birthday, and I am legally an adult now.

For all and all, I feel that I am getting older; Am I getting wiser? I was definitely feeling great. The smells of lots of foods and all the 'junk food stuffs' especially 'bak gua' and etc are getting stronger. I am ready for the imminent spare types that will appear around my waist. I am ready. Fitness maintainance will be done later. So, no worries.

The only worry in my mind is my study. I have a lot of assignments which are done half way, facing problems, and there are 3 tests in 1 week after I go back to UTM for the second half semester.

Dynamics, programming and trekking tests all rushing in like a tidal wave. This coming CNY will be full of assignments and revisions.

However, we are trained to be engineers, an engineer is also known as a problem-solver. We solve every problem. And therefore, the upcoming problems will be handled and tackled accordingly. I know I can.

Meanwhile, it is time to sleep. A good rest ensure a longer journey. Tomorrow will be another busy day with shopping for CNY, studying for tests, and rushing for assignments.

Avatar is Nice

‘Wow! New fan!’ exclaimed my course mate who had his room’s fan renewed because the old one has broken down.

Everyone was being happy too. The boring and tedious classes of lectures had eventually come to an end.

Not wanting to lose to the new-fan-guy, I also exclaimed loudly before I entered my room: ‘Wow! New Lamborghini!’

Everyone else was laughing away. Perhaps the joke was indeed funny.

I returned to my room with a fatigue and exhausted body in the evening, initially planned to finish the fluid’s assignments all by tonight before I went for my dinner.

Everything was being ruined by an unexpected event.

I opened my door, with its usual harsh clicking sound. The door opened only ajar when I smelled something nice inside my room.

The smell intrigued me; it smelled like something very comfortable to be sniffed in, smelled like French Fries.

‘What smells so nice?’ I asked my roommate, with curiosity.

‘Really?’ my friend replied with a face as-if-I-care.

Suddenly he sensed something went wrong.

‘What happened to my things? All messed around?!’

I was checking my things at that moment, when I discovered my banana has been eaten almost 1 full piece.

‘Maybe there is a theft?! Go and check your things, see whether got anything lost or not.’ He said anxiously.

‘Okay....’

Initially we suspected there was a theft, but nothing was missing. Then suddenly we saw something which was brown in colour, almost everywhere, under my bed, on my desk, my shirts!

And it smelled like French Fries Banana.

‘Oh my God! There are poops on my bed!!’ I shouted so loudly.

Unfortunately my friend was not being lucky too. He had some unknown disgusting fluid around his study desk.

We were so angry at that time, thinking it might be a squirrel; because there were a lot of squirrels in and out our hostel, sneaked into people’s room and ate without permission.

After the forensic came, which was Auntie the cleaner, and checked, it was confirmed it was a squirrel’s doing.

Case solved, file closed.

First time I have an experience like this, it is bad, and I do not want this to happen, ever again, never.

My Future Destination

Lately I have been coming to Singapore very frequently. I found that actually I love this place very much. Clean, hygienic, systematic, good transport system, good people. These are the few good impressions I have about Singapore.

Will I be basing in this country 4 years later? Why not? I asked myself. This is a good place for young, energetic dream chaser. This is a place suitable for people who has much devotion towards working, towards competitive life. This is a place of materialistic, a place full of skyscrapers and concrete jungles, a place full of artificial nature and of course, a place full of people. Singapore is the second most densely populated country in the world after Monaco.

The only question is, am I willing to live my life in a cage-like apartment for the rest of my life? No backyards for me to keep my huge Rottweiler or German Shepherd ( not to say having a large yard for them to strain their leg muscles ), no front car park to park my Off-Roader and Saloon. No private workshop for me to fix and modify my own machines. All I have will be a small apartment, with high speed Internet access, a large LCD screen or plasma TV, a set of comfortable sofa, a small to medium size kitchen, and perhaps also a renowned brand massage chair. That is all, inside an apartment. Nothing more.

It is actually quite ironic to what I have wanted before I come here. Before that, I wish to live in a large house near the country side, getting a stable job and a family, 2 cars ( 1 Off-Roader and 1 Saloon ), 1 to 2 huge dogs and a large piece of land for me to plant any vegetables and fruits I love to eat. It is also for the sake of my parents as they love gardening very much.

Living in the country side in Singapore seems utterly absurd as there is no country side in that country at all. Ironic right? It is two totally different things, and I love them both, equally.

Sometimes I dream of speeding a Chevrolet Camaro on the smooth highway in the city of Singapore, and sometimes I dream of venturing in the jungle, savouring the wonder of nature inside a turbo Off-Roader.

A typical pisces I am. Dreaming is not something which is wrong, eh?

Fortunately I do not have to make any decision now. 4 years is still a long way to go. I only have to concentrate on my study at the moment.

Another concern, when will I meet my future soul partner? Her decision means a lot to me too, and it might greatly change my thoughts. Who knows, love always come first.

Sunday's Routine in Campus

Second of August, Sunny .

Woke up at 7.27 in the morning, whole body suffered drastic pain due to over-training on wushu yesterday.

After brushed my teeth and did a bit of clean up, my friends and I walked together to the sport complex, intended to reserve a court to play badminton in the afternoon but to no avail. We can just hope for our luck in the afternoon so that we will have a court to play our game.

Life in campus is just about walk and walk and walk. We walked to the McD near our campus to have our breakfast which cost around RM8 ( a burger, a cup of Milo and a piece of fish-fillet ). Astounded. Once in a while though. At least we don't have to eat spicy, hot and coarse rice in the morning, or "Roti Canai" which turns off my appetites. I could not feel anymore fed up.

The air outside the campus was very polluted. Only when I were outside the campus I could feel the goods about my campus. The roads were under constructions, dirts and sands were everywhere. The traffic was hectic, untidy, and risky. I would describe my campus as a sanctuary, peaceful and tranquil, in contrast to the city outside.

I am currently sitting in the library, blogging and doing calculus at the same time. Test 1 is just 5 days away, and my engine is just partially heat up. However, things are under expectation, as planned. For sure, I will not fail myself.

Frankly, it is very hard to get artistic, romantic and emotional in the Uni, especially in the engineering course. Most of the time, we are dealing with numbers, diagrams, figures, theories and exercises. Lesser time to blog, and fewer chance to think of beautiful phrases and read some fantasy and love story books. Life is so busy that we do not have the time to rest, or at least, get 5 seconds to realize that we are actually breathing. If you do, I can assure you that is a rare case. Other than hostel chores, assignments, revisions and meetings, we still have a lot of affairs to due with, such as love affair, friendship affairs and so on. It is not that we crave for it, but its existence is something we cannot control. When it comes, it comes. No reasons.

Well, to conclude, I love my lifestyle now. It does not mean I already forgot my hometown. I am just adapted to this new life already. I am always happy to go back to where I come from. So, my family, please do not worry.

Talking about H1N1. Scary. In this 2 weeks, most of the Campus in West Malaysia has been shut down 1 by 1. From north to south, UUM, USM engineering campus, UTP, UKM medical campus, UPM, UTeM, and UiTm. Red Alert has been activated. In this circumstances, we cannot protect ourselves even we take good care of our hygiene and avoid crowds, especially in a campus, whenever you go, there will be crowds. This is the reason those Uni are shut down. We can just pray.

UTM, according to my friend, so far has 2 cases already. The information remains classified by the Uni. Reasons unknown. Perhaps they don't want us to get on our nerves. But the statement which claims that our campus will be shut down anytime remains a fact. It is just a matter of time. So, speechless.

I don't wish the school to be closed, for I already buy my tickets for the year end holidays. Any replacement for the classes will greatly affect my plan, and waste my money. Oh! Buddha, please let UTM be safe.

1333. Time to turn off my LG E310. Time to study.

First Week In Uni

Finally, I have my free time in this 5 days of my life in UTM. Simple words can describe the orientation week, tedious, tiring and suffering.

I still remember clearly, the first afternoon on the registration day, I cried. It is shameful to say so, I am weaker than I expected. I missed my home, my parents, my family, the kids at my home, the food, the routines and etc etc that I was so used to when I was in my hometown. Everything changed so dramatically, I was too weak to withstand it.

The IVCC Christian Organisation was indeed very helpful. They aided us, gave us the feeling of warmth in this foreign piece of ground we just stepped in. I was thankful for their selfless help. Thousand Thanks!!

One thing I want to emphasize, is that, I had really a big cultural shock! In my hometown, I never see such large number of Malay, especially a whole group of hundreds of Malay girls who were wearing scarfs over their head. I saw quite a number of Indians too. It was a good experience I believe, as I could mix with people from different races. Yes, Satu Malaysia!

During the orientation week, other than ceramahs, the activities still ceramahs. If not, it would be taklimats, or forums. Furthermore, we had to do sports in long pants, which I was struggling very hard to get used to it. Another thing, I could hardly get used to the food here. Other than chicken, still chicken. Sometimes fish. Most are spicy, hot and pimple-stimulating. Depressed. I still love chinese food.

Inspiring, creative and innovative minds, this is the tag line of my university, UTM.

Things are getting better as time passes. I have had my own gang of friends, which are also my coursemates and blockmates in the faculty of mechanical-material engineering. I am getting along well with my roommate too. We friends do all the things together, independently.

UTM will be my home for the next 4 years. My passion towards it, is growing unknowingly in the deepest place of my soul.

p/s:
Mum and dad, for those whom I concern and for those who concern about me, thank you, and please, do not worry. ah boy is strong, he adapted to the new environment already. He will be cool, and good. And most importantly, he will return in the next 4 years, with pride and glory.

He vowed.

Leaving

A few hours later, I will be taking my flight, to the other part of Malaysia. 1 week ago I was given the information that I will be going to UTM in Skudai, Johor, studying mechanical-material engineering.

I am very happy to hear that. But on the other hand, I feel quite nervous and sad. Why initially I rejected the offer letter from Swinburne, or apply my local Uni with UNIMAS as my 1st choice? Now that I am forced to leave my family, my friends, my hometown. All the people I care for so much.

I have finish my packing, 2 luggage, 1 back pack, 1 racket and 1 waist bag. Cool. Everything is ready. And I am sitting here, waiting for time to pass.

The 4 years in the future is clear now. All I need to do is work hard. Very hard! It is not going to be easy. Is "pak to" that important? Yes, it is. But the main task is study. LoL.

A friend of mine in Vietnam taught me. Just meet her for 1 day, and know her for about 1 week. She is quite experience in life though. A true strong, tough, wise and bossy leader. ( Hope that she is not mad about what I write. =p )

Hai Jian is flying with me this afternoon. We are going to the same Uni but taking different courses. He is taking geo engineering. We have to be seperated. Sigh.

I still not yet bought my laptop. Actually planning to go to SG to get 1, but think of H1N1, scary. LoL. I will see how then.

Farewell Kuching, my hometown I have been living for 20 years. Now that my wings are fully grown, gonna fly away to search for my own knowledge, my future..

Thank you for pampering me for this 20 years. Kuching, and my loved ones.. For it will be the last few moments before I go to further my study, out of my hometown.

I'll be busy preparing stuffs, meeting cousins and friends, cherishing the last meetings with everyone.

Actually a few minutes ago I just came back from my badminton session with my brother in law. It was a good game. Without throwing a cold bathe towards my smelly body, I straight away come online, addicted. Can't help. LoL.

My friend asked me about shock absorber, which I think I am quite experience in, after this half year of working as a mechanic. I never regretted it. It is sometimes tough, hot and patience-consuming, nevertheless, it does bring benefits. I have become stronger, and darker. ( is dark a benefit? LoL. )

It is almost sleeping time. I have to bathe 1st. That's all.

p/s: Lately I feel like missing someone. The long-lost feeling of love has dazzled me. It is kind of late, isn't it?

Knight

A knight's destiny: loyal, strong, tough, but lonely.

A knight is born in the time of war, lives with an order, to protect the people around him. The king, the queen, the prince and the princess.

Whenever someone need to be sacrificed, it would be them. The knights. This is the spirit of chivalry. It is strong within the knights, and it will never fade.

A knight can handle 100 normal soldiers, petrify 50 horses and take down 1 enemy chief of staff. Fearless towards massacre, they are strong, unbeatable. They are born to protect, not to kill. Killing is just a process, to achieve their almighty goal.

Knights are lonely. They always walk, either in front, or behind the princess, and their paths never intersect. Their job is to protect the princess, not to love them. It would be troublesome if they love the princess, and it will affect the chivalry spirit of a knight.

Therefore, whenever a knight fall in love with the princess, nobody knows.

The princess usually loves the prince, who is handsome, charming, humorous and riding a white horse. The knight who is riding a black horse, guarding them from distant. He is serious, never smile, and responsible. Sad and sorrow, he keeps it to himself.

The love of the knight towards the princess, is comparably deep with that of the prince. But the two person's fate is utterly different.

Some knights choose to be alone, because they think, having the people they love around is a weakness. In order to become a true knight, they abandon their loved ones. Love, is a weak point, in the time of war. They have chosen a lonely, and yet proud path of a legendary knight.

However, sometimes, love can be a strong force, for a knight to fight. The power of love should not be diminished. In certain circumstances, it can stimulate the veins of a knight to push his body strength extend his body limit, and therefore a stronger knight could be produced.

Lonely or not lonely, a knight, is still the same. Being born to protect, they will do it, both for their destiny, and their loved ones.

The flames of the chivalry will continuously ignite beyond heavenly skies, the knights will still be there, protecting their loved ones from distant.

I am Teck Chaw. I live in the 21st century. People address me by the name, Knight Leslie.

p/s: The numerical values stated above is based on my assumption only. Johor? Sabah? or Kuching? I believe these are the only 3 places possible.

No matter which Uni I get in, I will accept it, and go for it. In the country like ours, our courses taken is decided by our result in the Pre-U Study. So, if you could not get the perfect result, you can only let your result lead you to the course suitable for your result, and the Uni suitable for your result. This is the fate of an average result student, from an average income family.

A few of my friends succeeded in the application into NUS in Singapore. Glad to hear that. I am quite envy too. One of them asked me: "Why don't you apply too? I think you also can get in mah. Never try never know. Money can loan also mah. "

Perhaps I am too craven. I think loan money is not the problem. The problem is returning the money. How long will you need to clear the debt of around RM100k? It is just like chaining my own leg with a huge stone. A burden. After we graduated, working is not the only thing we do. We also have to plan to get a family, get a home, a car, etc etc.. I think this is the minimum requirement of having a life of a normal person. Money is playing an important role in aiding us to achieve at least a normal human life. So why do I need to be chained with that RM100k? If I can spend around RM30k studying in local Uni? That would be a much smaller stone to me.

Unless I have a rich Daddy, everything will be a different story. But currently my family cannot afford to let me study oversea, and I do not wish to burden them as well.

Standing on the cross road, the future is still hiding behind the dense fog. Unclear. Some of my friends have received the offer letter from USM. Congratulations to them. But I am still waiting. Sigh~ News says the result will only unveil in the 3rd week of June. Around 19th.

A friend of mine is flying in a plane towards KL at the moment. Wish her good luck. And all the best in her study. Glad that she gets what she wants.

I vow to myself, I will work hard in the next 4 years.

人生语录

虽然我们总是叹息生命的短促, 但我们却在每一个阶段都盼望它的结束. 儿童时期盼望成年, 成年盼望成家, 之后又想发财, 继之又希望获得名誉地位, 最后又想归隐...

I love My Mum

Today is no special day. It is just like any other day.

The only difference is that, yesterday my mum brought back a whole package of KFC dinner set back. She treated us. And this morning, afternoon and night, we all have our meal together ( which is very normal, even no Mother's day also we will always go out to eat together. )

I personally think, for a good child, Mother's day has no special meaning. It is because they love their mum 365 days a year, a Mother's day is a day among the days they love their mum. It is nothing.

For those who live apart from their mother, Mother's day will be a day for them to eat together with their mum, to spend time loving their mum, as everyday they will be very busy with their life, their works and their own family. For some mothers, other than new year, Mother's day is the only reunion day with their loving sons and daughters who are working oversea. Some mothers only can look at their sons or daughters through web cams, or listen to their voices through phones. Not all the children can stay with their mothers on the Mother's day.

For all the mothers on the earth, I believe their most desperate wish will be, to hope that their children will grow up faster, so that they can take care of themselves, and do not need the parents to take care of them. But on the other hand, mothers always treat their children as kids. No matter the child is 40 years old or 4 years old. One reason, they love them. That is all they need to know.

Couple of months later I will be leaving my hometown to further my study. It will be my first time to leave my parents for more than 1 month. I should be strong enough. LoL.

OnePiece

I'm addicted to OnePiece, once again, after I stopped watching at episode 130, 2years ago, because of my STPM exam. Now, every night I will be watching OnePiece, left behind for so long from the latest one. Currently I am watching episode 171, and the latest one is already almost 300 or 400, I don't remember.

Hence, I'll be writing quite rarely for the next few weeks, or months. OnePiece is really a great anime, I enthusiastically promote this anime! Watch it if you are free, do not get addicted. LoL.

Post Script: The latest episode of OnePiece is 398. It is nearly 400. For this, I have bought an external hard disc on 06.05.2009 to copy the anime from my friend. Approximately I will be catching up with the latest episode in around 2 to 4 weeks. I am so addicted. LoL. But I think I will not be able to watch it so freely anymore when I go to University couple of months later.

Sign of Friendship

Random Write

It is Saturday night, a night of fatigue, relieve and relax...

After a week of busy and busy and busy, finally when it comes to Saturday night, everything is just suddenly getting aside from you, set you free and let you get out from the usual routine. And tomorrow is Sunday, it is the only free holiday for me every week. I must not waste it.

I am very refreshed now, as I have just bathed. The thermometer on the wall shows 30degree Celsius, which is Very Hot! for me. A few hours ago I was outside, with my neighbors and my parents, watching lion dance, dragon dance, wushu, and chinese traditional dance. It was in MBKS. It was awesome! And I missed those time when I was in Secondary School, performing the similiar wushu. It was a long, long time ago. I could merely remember it. But I was really enjoying it, the performance.

The supper was nice too. "Pan Mian" is ok for me. But it is not my favourite. Kolo Mee still rated no.1! I am starting to worry about my life in the next 4 years, when there will be no Kolo Mee accompany me.. LoL. I think even if there is, it will surely different from the original one in Kuching.

Hmm.. Well, worry cant solve anything. Just stay optimistic. Be strong! Later I will be watching James Bond- Die another Day.

That is all for tonight.

p/s : I have watched Yes Man starring Jim Carrey. It is awesome! And Funny! I am a Yes Man too from now on! I won't miss any opportunity also. I believe they will lead to something good too! Just say YES!

Permai Trip 2009

18 and 19 April, peijie, diana, haijian, peifong and me went to Permai together.

Actually the trip was organized by Japanese Club of Swinburne University Sarawak Campus. My gang was just a part of the members. However, most of the time during the trip was free activities, which we had a lot of freedom to do what we like to do. The only 2 scheduled programs were "Police and Thief" game and the BBQ session. Other than that, we were free to do what we want to.

Different from the other Swinburne Students, we went there using peijie's blue Avanza. It was because the former form6 students ( haijian, diana and me ) were to attend a so-called Munsyi Test from USM, which could be done easily online, in SMK Petra Jaya Matang. After a brief lunch with other friends in SugarBun, which was the 2nd choice because our 1st choice KFC could not afford us the seat for 10people, we went to Permai straight away.

Permai beach is the same as Damai Puri beach. Hence, I would say the beach is Very Nice.

I saw a lot of Ang Mo sun-bathing on the beach. I even saw 1 couple of Ang Mo kissing so sweetly in the sea. I went to say Hi, they smiled back. They were friendly.

The best part of the trip, I would say was the part which we spent 4 hours in the sea, from 3pm to around sunset time. The sea was so comforting, and the breeze too. We soaked there happily, chit-chatting and laughing so loudly in the sea. Time passed so fast. Eventually we went back to our cabin after sunset.

The kayak session was fun too! I was pretty lucky, because I got a chance to paddle with a pretty lady from Swinburne, which haijian and peifong were so desperately wanted to. LoL. Sadly they never brave enough to ask, and I was so happily being asked by the other girl to replace her to paddle with the pretty lady.

I fell down during running too fast and doing acrobatic. My elbow was painfully being scratched, but it is ok already. The sand on the beach is very smooth, and soft, but when you fall down on the wet sand, it is a completely different story.

Peijie was the most happy person, because 18 of April was his birthday. We had given him the best present for the birthday, which was the sweet memory during the Permai trip, according to him. LoL.

After we went back to Kuching, we did not go home straight away even though we were exhausted. We stayed at peijie's house, watched Terminator 2 and 3. Now that I am prepared to watch Terminator 4 the Salvation. It is an awesome movie!

We did not shoot a lot of photos, because we wanted 100% of fun and happy! We did not want to worry about where to keep the camera or whatsoever. However, we did shoot a few photos, which I will upload very soon, by chance.

I get to know a few person who are expert in Japanese language during the trip. Even though they are Malaysian, they speak Japanese like they were the real Japanese. So Cool! Pretty Awesome. The teacher is the real Japanese though. Tom is his name. He is a voluntary teacher in Swinburne. I want to learn Japanese too, because I like OnePiece, and Naruto, and Japan!

Permai Trip last week was a great memory for me too! I am looking forward to go there again, next time.

Teck Chaw's Principle

Teck Chaw's principle : Everything's existence in this dimension is dependent on each other from the one on the opposites, one cannot exist without the existence of the other.

For example, dark cannot be known if there is no bright to be the contrast. Good cannot be defined if there is no bad. Friend is not so-called if there is no foe. You will not think this is very crappy or lame unless you find anything that is more interesting. There will be no war, if peace never exist. There is no boys and girls if the 2 opposite sex is not created by God? Or Whatever? This is not a religious topic. So that is not important. The important thing is, you only know you are a boy because there exists an opposite sex with different sex organ in their body, called girl. And vice versa.

Everything in this dimension is well-balanced by 2 equally "weighted" elements which are thoroughly different no matter we see it from which perspectives. It is just like a see-saw, in order to achieve balance, the 2 elements on the opposite sides must be of the same mass. Once there is a disorder in the mass on one side or the other, the equilibrium will be affected.

What will be the use of policemen if there is no thieves to catch? Or crimes to solve? In Italy alone, approximately 60% of the market is controlled by modern civilization's so-called "Black Market" or easier, gangster? This has brought us to the consequences of so many home lost citizens due to the earthquake in Abruzzo, Italy. Let us mourn for 1 minute. ....... . I believe the government in Italy will be more cautious towards the modern building construction's project in the future, not to forget, China too. The earthquake in SiChuan last year has been a deep scar in the heart of human-being as well.

In my opinion, 0% crime rates is not possible. That is why police forces, peacekeepers are needed all the time. This applied using my principle, don't you think so? LoL.

Anyone who can find any statements which oppose my principle, I will be very keen to listen. Thanks.

Nostalgia

Sometimes I hated being nostalgia. It is quite suffering when we look at the photos of the past, look at those sweet memories, and yet we cannot go back to it anymore. Anything that is left, are just some sweet, and yet useless memories.

I personally think that looking at the photos of the past, to refresh the sweet memories is just one of the ways to get rid of the harsh of the realities. Do you think so? At least, I think if you do not totally agree, you should be partially agree.

A minute ago I just viewed Nicole's facebook, photos on " Our story". Feelings of sad and happy are arising. The same awkward feeling occurred to me when I viewed my form 5 photos last week. I hated being controlled by the feelings. Sometimes I forgot, and sometimes I avoided clicking on them. It is really melancholic, and I feel sick of it.

A day as a Pacifier

It is 10.10am right now, and I had stretch my body for more than 10 times already. It is not tiring, it is boring. After I have finish reading the newspaper and flip through the Option Fans magazine, I discover I have nothing to do. The only 2 person accompanying me, are my little neighbor, Yee Xuan and the housemaid, kakak.

Yes, I am the Pacifier, doing nursing, and watching my neighbor's house at the same time. The elders went back to Sarikei for the Qing Ming Festival and the parents were off to work. I was asked to help watching the house, take care of the little girl and keep an eye on the kakak, so that she won't do anything that is crossing the line. Of course, the last thing is the most crucial, as negative news about Indonesia housemaid are so "renown" over this few years.

I am watching Astro. The Animal Planet is showing on the Alaskan Malamute. They are great dogs, and I like them very much. The fur is very nice to touch and it is very smooth, excellent for hugging. Alaskan Malamutes are very friendly dogs. They never shiver, never get cold. Pulling the sled is their natural instinct. The breeder said something that I think was funny. If you had a pack of Malamutes, every morning in the snow, when you go to find your Malamutes, you cannot see any of them. When you yell one of their names, 7 or 8 heads will pop out from the snow watching at you. Malamutes have an instinct to dig and sleep in the snow. They are really cute dogs.

The groomer of Alaskan Malamute taught on the skill of back-combing. This is to make the fur stands and the overall coat looked thicker and nicer.

It is 12 noon now, and I end up eating lunch bought by Mdm Liew, my neighbor. We eat the " da bao" fast food together. Yee Xuan eats only a little.

Only today I discover Mdm Liew's new Honda City. It is really cool. Her old car is traded in for this new Honda City.1500cc engine with automatic transmission, sporty outlook and comfort driving experience. A perfect saloon for a family! It costs only around RM85k on road. " I work hard for it, and I should pamper myself a bit." This is what she said. I nodded with agree.

A pacifier I have been. LoL. Things happen out to be normal, luckily. I have to deal with Yee Xuan who is only 5 years old. I have to answer her thousands of why and what, I have to prepare milk for her and swing her to sleep in her cradle. Fortunately I love children, and I have patience for them. Phew~

Eventually she slept, and I have my short nap too.

After watching " War of World" starring Tom Cruise, unfinished, unfortunately ( due to the problem with the CD ) , I went back to my house.

A day as a Pacifier ended. Well, it is quite a good experience for me. I had have a free time relaxing too. It is not something annoying. Really. ;-)

All new Honda City (front)

All new Honda City (rear)

Alaskan Malamute, not Siberian Husky. Different people has different types of Utopia. What about you? How did your Utopia looked like?

A savanna full of green grass, a stream of tapping water, Shady forests, an early flocks, a herding dog, riding on a galloping horse, simple life. That, is my Utopia. I'm a typical Pisces I would say. Sometimes I'm quite dreamy, not realistic. Maybe that's the only moment where I can hide from the real life, and get into the fantasy of my own world. This is something private huh, everyone needs privacy. I've learn.

Scotland and New Zealand are the countries which has some places similar to my ideal home. Maybe next time I would find a chance to go there, get closer to what I'm dreaming for.

Even though I'm on holiday now, I'm working as a part time mechanic. Life is busy. My routines are repairing and servicing car. Sometimes we do need to send the cars back to their respective drivers. This is not something really annoyed me, hence, I would say I'm enjoying my current life. I get to know more people from outside when I'm doing my work. There are different kinds of people, some of them are very understanding, some are hot-tempered, humorous, friendly, etc etc.. Now that I'm more mature about 1 thing. Do not let other people's actions, words or whatsoever affects you. No matter what other people says, you are still you. Just be You.

People writes blog to express themselves, to type out what has been kept in their heart. I think, I'm still being preserved. There are things that I would rather keep it to myself. It is not something bad, is it?

1st half year of 2009, I'm standing on a cross junction. I'm still waiting, wondering where should I go, or fly. Future is still hiding behind a huge veil. Unseen, unpredictable. What happens tomorrow, we shall never knew. We can only pray, pray that we can get what we want, and what is right for us.

What is right for us? I think, this is a very interesting question. It has different answers when we look from different perspective of life. Parents are from a different generation from us. What is right for them does not necessary suit us, the youngster. And vice versa. The important thing is, I believe, we should know clearly what we want for in our life. And strive for it without regret. Most of the successful man went through the path, none regrets. Frankly, why will you need to regret as you have already succeeded? LoL. And why will you need to regret, as you have not finish your path towards succeed?
